How it works the scale of the building opening ratio in UD?
What does it mean 1.0? is it a 1% of the facade openable?
I have seen that the program run values from 0.1 to even 50 or 100, so what is the scale?
Thanks in advance.

hi – the opening ratio is merely a scaling factor. 1.0 == 100% , 0.5 == 50%January 30, 2017 at 8:30 am #1504
I am trying to extrude rectangular curves (to have buildings), divide them into floors and generate windows on facades based on WWR (based on facade orientation). Using Grasshopper, I extruded my curves.
Then, I wanted to use the Geometry builder component since it provides the possibility to divide the building into floors and specify the opening ratio.
However, when I use it, I can’t see any floors and the whole facade changes. I have noticed that by changing the opening ratio, the facade color changes well?
I’ve attached a screenshot of the results.
Can anyone help me with this problem?
One more question. Is there any possibility to generate windows with different WWR on each facade using only Archsim?
Thanks in advance
